David du Toit, alleged that the officer assaulted him on N4 Bakwena/N1 South

The officer who was allegedly aggressive towards a motorist on the N4 Bakwena/N1 South Interchange has been removed from his duties until an investigation is concluded.
This follows a video posted by a motorist alleging that a Gauteng traffic officer was aggressive with him.
The motorist, David du Toit, alleged that the officer assaulted him on N4 Bakwena/N1 South interchange at the scene of an accident in Pretoria.
Du Toit posted the video on his Facebook page.
"The officer immediately attacked us for no reason! slapped our bonnet, broke our keys and left me with a bleeding thumb, pushed me and poked me in the face. If I defended myself I would've probably slept in jail the whole weekend, who the hell is he to do whatever he want and get away with it! i phoned traffic police on all 5 of their numbers with no answer," read Du Toit's Facebook post.
The Gauteng Department of Community Safety said it was aware of the incident.
"The initial investigation has established that the officer had attended to an accident scene and had cordoned it off. It is alleged that the motorist in question reached the accident scene and on being approached by the officer became aggressive," said Department of Community Safety MEC Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane in a statement.
Nkosi-Malobane said her department has since launched an investigation and at the conclusion of the investigation will make the findings known and take action against the guilty party.
